The Dream

The Desert Flood Dream

Better food quality

A greener planet

Support for upcoming growers

More friends in God’s family

This dream can only be realized to a certain extent this side of the Second Coming. But let’s maximize that extent!

Inspiration and education lay at the foundation of this dream: inspiring people to step up to the challenge of regenerative agriculture, teaching them the best ways to tackle the challenge, and supporting them through the challenge.

The best education and support come through mentorship. We need those with experience to make themselves available to share wisdom for the incessant challenges new growers face. And we need new growers who value that wisdom.

God is offering us the grace to be patient with those who are learning, and the grace to be humble learners:

“Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord: And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.”
Malachi 4:5,6

The Adventist Agriculture Association is starting to develop a mentorship program that should be worth checking out and investing in.

At this point, my goal is for Desert Flood to provide resources that inspire and resources that make learning the principles of regenerative agriculture as simple as possible.

God alone knows how much of this dream will turn into reality in this world that is “waxing old as a garment” and being destroyed on other fronts. But pursuing the dream will be worthwhile even if few climate problems and food supply problems get improved. Pursuing the dream will help us know our Creator and His methods in ways that nothing else can.

“As the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.”
Isaiah 61:11
