Theories about life being planted on Earth by aliens…
Finding new missing links as the old ones lose their credibility…
Theories of how each continent was under the ocean at a different time…
Statistical numbers against unguided chemistry’s ability to produce life growing bigger than the numbers we use to measure the universe…
Creation/evolution debates turning into discussions about God’s character in the light of evil’s existence…
Is the theory that forms the foundation of mainstream scientific philosophy on life-support?
But even if atheism is on life support, should it be kept alive? Doesn’t belief in God crush life’s fun and joy under a mountain of guilt and fear? Doesn’t it lead to crusades and religious oppression?
Or do the evils of religion actually result from misunderstanding? Are manipulators able to further their agenda because we tap out of the wrestle for truth and let others tell us what the truth is?
I won’t try to answer those questions sufficiently in this short article. Actually, don’t let me answer those questions for you. You need to journey toward those answers for yourself. I’ll just give you the following quotes and questions to ponder:
“I like your Christ, but I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.” – Gandhi
“Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.” – Jesus (Matthew 7:15)
“I know that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock; and from among your own selves men will arise, speaking perverse things to draw away the disciples after them.” – the apostle Paul (Acts 20:29,30)
– What has been the trend of depression and reality avoidance (through drug and alcohol use and other addictions) in people and societies that have rejected God?
“The Father Himself loves you”, “I will in no case cast out one who comes to Me” – Jesus (John 16:27; 6:37)
“You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.” – God (Jeremiah 29:13)
